Other relevant information sources that use data supplied or commissioned by the Department of Health include:


Researchers and eligible organisations may be able to submit custom data requests from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and the Independent Hospital and Aged Care Pricing Authority on a fee-for-service basis. We encourage you to explore the following resources to determine if they can provide the information you require.

Public applications for access to documents held by the Department of Health can be made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. For more information, visit Freedom of Information. Applications can be lodged using the FOI online application portal at: Login (foi.vic.gov.au)

Please note, that the department is currently unable to fulfill individual requests from health services seeking to access underlying performance data. Technical specifications for key performance indicators are currently being developed and will be shared when available. Similarly, we are unable to respond to requests from health services or their consultants for service planning purposes at this time.
